1. Failure To Isolate

While going over all of my one night stands and phone numbers that followed through, I noticed a pattern. With all of those successes, I managed to isolate the girl away from her friends and get to know her on a personal level. Too many guys build the initial attraction, but then immediately number close without making sure that the girl and himself have built a connection first.

2. Failure To Acknowledge The Group

While a PUA must isolate at some point in time, he must first gain the approval of her friends. I’ve sat and watched time and time and time again, a guy approach a girl, and totally ignore her friends, only to have the girl eventually flake or have one of her friends pull her away. People are less likely to interfere when they feel like they have rapport with you.

3. Failure To Bring A Competent Wing

If your wing is selfish or incompetent, then dealing with him is worse than dealing with other human obstacles. If he is your friend, and he does something stupid, it reflects poorly on you since he is your friend. And if he is selfish, every time you talk to a girl that he wants, he will screw you over on “accident”.

4. Failure To Be High Energy

Bars are all about fun, and if you’re trying to be all smooth, you are boring. Anytime you talk to a woman in that environment, you need to be the center of attention and be the person having all of the fun. When you are fun, you also have value.

5. Failure To Bring A Fun Entourage

We all know that having an entourage can give you tremendous social value, but if you have a lot of boring entourage members that don’t know how to have a good time and just stand around staring at you, then they are useless and may actually work against you. If you surround yourself with boring people, then they can bring down your high energy state, and you just look like a bunch of boring people. You’re better off with one person that knows how to have a good time than you are with a bunch of boring people.

6. Failure To Arrive At A Decent Time

You should be leaving your house no later than 10:30. It’s going to take you awhile to really get into the groove once you get to the bar, so if you come late, you are only screwing yourself. There have been so many times where I’ve gotten into my groove, really started connecting with women, only to have the bar lights flip on. Had I gotten there earlier, I would have had more time to work my magic.

7. Failure To Have Failsafes

And what I mean by this, is that every guy should have a few personal routines memorized for crucial times. I have at least five personal openers that I use and at least five rapport building conversational questions/topics. If you have these, then you will never be able to say “I don’t know what to say to her”.

8. Failure To Work Out Logistics

You have a girl into you? Great. But how do you get her out of there and where do you go? You should always have an exit plan BEFORE you go to the bar. There’s no point in shooting for a one night stand or make-out, if you have no clue of where you’re going to take the girl.

9. Failure To Dress Appropriately

I always tell guys to dress so that they can go anywhere and look impressive. Time and time again, I see guys show up in hoodies, old worn out shirts, and sneakers. You need to understand that women are judging by the way that you dress, and if you aren’t dressed to impress, you are only hurting yourself and being your own obstacle.

99. Failure To Stop Making Excuses

Some guys will openly make excuses. Some guys spend the entire night talking to “old friends” so that they don’t have to approach girls. Some guys like to go to shit sports bars where no girls are, so they can complain about not being able to find the hot girls. Some guys go to extremely loud bars where it’s impossible to talk to anyone. And some guys get excessively drunk, so that they can wake up the next day and have an excuse for screwing up last night. Bottom line? Excuses are for failures, not winners.
